More Than Just Fun Mugs – The Story Behind Little Light of Mine 💛

Hello, I'm Kaz, and I'm so happy you've found your way here.

Little Light of Mine is much more than a mug shop to me. It's the coming together of things I've loved for a long time—creativity, thoughtful gift giving, and bringing a little more joy into the everyday.

Many years ago, I owned and ran a little gift shop here in Toowoomba. I absolutely loved helping people find gifts that made someone feel loved, encouraged, celebrated, or simply made them smile. Even after I closed the shop, that passion never really left me. I always hoped that one day I'd create something special again.

That dream eventually became Little Light of Mine.

The name comes from the beautiful idea that each of us has the ability to shine a little light into someone else's life. Sometimes that happens through grand gestures, but more often it's the small, everyday moments that matter most—a morning coffee from your favourite mug, an unexpected gift from a friend, or a simple message that reminds you you're loved.

My Christian faith has shaped that outlook in many ways. While not every design in my store is faith-based, I hope every product reflects the same values of kindness, hope, encouragement and joy. You'll find everything from uplifting Bible verses to playful otters, retro-inspired designs, heartfelt gifts and mugs that simply make you laugh. My hope is that there's something here for everyone.

As a small Australian business, every order truly means the world to me. Behind every design is someone who has carefully thought about colours, words and little details, hoping they'll become part of your daily routine or the perfect gift for someone special.
